Terms of Service

1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using APInexis ("the Service", "the Platform") at apinexis.web.app or any associated domains, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including users on the Free plan, Starter plan, Pro plan, and any future plans. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2 Description of Service

APInexis is a mock API platform that allows developers and freelancers to:

• Create and manage mock API endpoints with live URLs
• Define collection schemas and generate realistic dummy data using Faker.js
• Store persistent dummy data in a built-in Firestore-backed database
• Configure cross-collection joins, relations, and aggregate queries (Pro)
• Export generated frontend and backend code for production use
• Share auto-generated API documentation with teammates
• Simulate API authentication (Bearer Token, API Key, Basic Auth)

APInexis is intended for development, testing, prototyping, and demonstration purposes. It is not designed or warranted for use as a production backend in applications serving end users.

3 Accounts & Registration

To use APInexis beyond the public documentation pages, you must create an account using Google OAuth or email and password. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately at hello@apinexis.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are suspected of fraudulent activity, or have been inactive for more than 24 consecutive months on the Free plan.

4 Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use APInexis to:

• Store, transmit, or generate real personal data of actual individuals without their consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform
• Circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or plan restrictions through technical means
• Use the platform to serve as a production backend for applications with real end users
• Distribute malware, phishing pages, or any malicious content through mock endpoints
• Conduct denial-of-service attacks or intentionally overload platform infrastructure
• Scrape, harvest, or collect user data from the platform through automated means
• Impersonate other users, organizations, or APInexis itself
• Store or transmit content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringes third-party rights

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any user who violates this policy, including suspension, termination, and reporting to relevant authorities.

5 Plans, Billing & Payments

APInexis offers the following subscription plans:

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. Your card data is never stored on APInexis servers.

• Upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period.
• Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Your access continues at the current plan level until then.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
• Annual plans are billed upfront for 12 months. If you cancel an annual plan, your access continues until the end of the paid year.
• Failed payments will result in a grace period of 7 days. If payment is not resolved, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan.

All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. Users in certain jurisdictions may be charged VAT or local taxes as determined by Lemon Squeezy.

6 Your Data

You retain ownership of all content and data you create, upload, or generate through APInexis ("User Content"), including workspace configurations, schema definitions, collection data, and exported code.

By using the Service, you grant APInexis a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We will not sell, rent, or share your User Content with third parties for marketing purposes. We may access your data for the purposes of:

• Providing technical support when you request it
• Investigating reported abuse or violations of these Terms
• Complying with legal obligations or court orders
• Monitoring platform health and performance (in aggregate, anonymized form)

Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7 Intellectual Property

The APInexis platform, including its design, source code, trademarks, logos, and documentation, is owned by APInexis and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use APInexis trademarks or branding outside of the Service.

Code generated by APInexis's Code Export feature is yours to use freely, including in commercial projects, without attribution. The generated code is provided as-is and we make no warranties about its fitness for any particular purpose.

The "Powered by APInexis" attribution on the Free plan's public documentation pages is a condition of the Free plan. This branding may be removed on Starter and Pro plans.

8 Availability & Service Level

APInexis targets a mock URL uptime of 99.5% per calendar month for paid plans. This excludes:

• Scheduled maintenance windows (announced at least 24 hours in advance)
• Outages caused by third-party infrastructure (Firebase, Cloudflare, Google Cloud)
• Force majeure events beyond our reasonable control
• Outages caused by user actions that violate these Terms

The Free plan does not carry an uptime guarantee. We reserve the right to throttle or restrict Free plan endpoints during periods of high platform load.

We do not offer service credits for downtime. Maintenance status and incident updates are posted at our status page.

9 Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

APInexis does not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• Generated dummy data will be suitable for all testing scenarios
• Exported code will be free of bugs or production-ready without review
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

APInexis is a development tool. It is your responsibility to review all generated code before deploying it to production environments.

10 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APINEXIS AND ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Loss of data or corruption of data
• Costs of procuring substitute services
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service

In no event shall our total cumulative liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to APInexis in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

11 Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from your Account Settings page. Upon termination of a paid plan, your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if:

• You violate any provision of these Terms
• Your account is associated with fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Continued operation of your account poses a security or operational risk to the platform

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6 (data deletion timeline), 7 (intellectual property), 9 (disclaimers), 10 (limitation of liability), and 13 (governing law) survive termination.

12 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Send an email notification to all registered users at least 14 days before the changes take effect
• Display an in-app notification for active users

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your account before the effective date.

13 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jakarta, Indonesia.
